Earlier this year, Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR Motorsports added a second driver to its Formula Drift lineup with the addition of Chelsea DeNofa. While the team has managed some impressive performances this season, one thing that many of us have not witnessed this year is the two Mustang RTR drivers engaged in a tandem battle during competition.
If you have never been to a professional Formula Drift event, it really is a sight to see. The skill and concentration it takes to perform a successful tandem drift without running into either the wall or the competition is incredible.

Although neither of the drivers would end up on the podium at Round 6, their Top 12 battle was one of the highlights of the day. However, don’t take our word for it. Have a look at the video above and see for yourself.
The Mustang versus Mustang battle ended with Chelsea DeNofa advancing to the top eight where he finished his day with a respectable sixth-place finish.
Round 7 of the Formula Drift championship series takes place on September 8-9 at Texas Motor Speedway.
