Radial racer Jason Lee has purchased a new car for competition in 2014, with details as yet undisclosed as to where it will be raced or even what engine combination it will use. Two things are for sure – it’s a Mustang, and it’ll be sponsored by Jason’s longtime sponsor, Strange Engineering.
The car was purchased from fellow competitor Larry Prykucki (you may have seen it as the “Rated PG” car) and is currently under the knife as Jason prepares it for the upcoming season. Prykucki campaigned the car in a number of venues, including the NMCA’s 275 Drag Radial class and NMRA’s old Super Street Outlaw class.
In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Strange Engineering’s founding, the company has put out an open call for anyone who thinks they’ve got the chops to design a new wrap for the car. The design can be anything you want it to be, so dig out your crayons and go to town.
You can download the entry form and an editable PDF by clicking this link. We can’t wait to see what the enterprising graphic designers out there come up with for this machine. Your art could be seen at races all over the land on one of the most recognizable small-tire heads-up cars in the world. Go on – what do you have to lose?
What do you get for your hard work? A cool $500 gift certificate from Strange Engineering, four tickets to an NMRA or NMCA race of your choice, and a bunch of Strange swag.
