Saturday morning the
Goodguys Tour was greeted with a wet start in Wendover, NV. That wasn’t the last stop the road warriors though. We headed East for the first stop of the day at Miller Motorsports Park, home to the Larry H, Miller Total Performance Museum, officially the only museum Courtney has ever enjoyed visiting! It’s a Ford fan’s vision of heaven the minute you set foot into the building.
After catching a few laps at MMP it was on to RaceDeck Flooring for a quick tour of the building and operations and then to Kindig-It Designs for lunch. Not only was the lunch awesome but the shop itself held an amazing discovery in each room, and seemed to go on forever. You would think you were at the end and then Bam! Another room filled with awesome treasures. Check out Kindig’s TV show Bitchin’ Rides on Velocity, and you’ll see what we’re talking about.
The rain decided to rejoin the tour as we left Kindig-It and headed for the final stop in Vernal, Utah. And it overstayed its welcome up until the last 30 minutes when the sun broke through. Courtney was stopped at a scenic overlook within minutes to finally be able to capture a shot of the amazing scenery they had been traveling through all day long. We hope to get a chance to take the route again with some sunshine because even the rain couldn’t ruin the beautiful scenery.
The Tour made it to the hotel and about an hour later the sky looked menacing. Next thing you know the power is flickering and hail is falling from the sky.

Drivers said a prayer and hoped the cars would survive the storm without damage. We will see in the morning if any damage was caused but our fingers are crossed. Tomorrow we head off to Loveland, Colorado with stops along the way at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park and Pinkee’s Rod Shop in Windsor and we all hope the storm that’s been following us like a Charlie Brown cloud finally goes somewhere!
