Final 50th Year 2015 Mustang Heading To Barrett-Jackson

Celebrating 50 continuous years on the road, a 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang was recently unveiled to the world. The 2015 Ford Mustang’sĀ 50th Year modelĀ will be superĀ limited due to only 1,964 being built andĀ sold, and the very last 50Ā Year Mustang produced (number 1,964) willĀ be crossing Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas next month.

What’s so special about the 50 Year Edition?Ā Besides beingĀ collector car status,Ā this particular car going to auction will be converted into a pace car, with all proceeds from the sale benefiting the charity, the Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute. Besides the pace car trim, it will feature signatures by various Ford executives.

Not only will the winning bidder receive this one-of-a-kind limited-edition ’15 Mustang fastback, but they will also get a special VIP package to attend the Ford EcoBoost 400 Nascar Sprint Cup finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway this November.

All 50 Year Limited Mustang models will be coupes based off of the all-new ’15 GT fastbackĀ and will come available in just two colors, Kona Blue or Wimbledon White, and will be given the choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The cars come standard with Ford’s performance pack which includes 3.73 rear gears, Torsen differential, and upgraded 15-inch front brakes with six-piston caluipers. This will be the first time Ford has offered an automatic transmission in its Performance Package.

Inside the cabin there’s a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel. That theme carries throughout the instrument panel, shifter boot, arm rest, door inserts, and seats. The two-tone cashmere and black leather front seats will feature the 50th logo on the back.

Prop the hood to the 5.0-liter V8, capable of 435 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. Unique 19-inch 50th anniversary wheels are present at all four corners.

We are curious to see just how much this 50 Year Limited-Edition Mustang will rake in at Barrett-Jackson, tell us how much you think it will go for in the comments below.
