Our favorite Brit is back and he has some sweet surprises up his sleeves in regards to the UBB Mustang. Faster and better than ever, meet the UBB 1100 Widow Maker. Before Shelby released the Shelby 1000, the Widow Maker was already in the works. Not only would this Mustang be just as fast, but the delivery is quick with a wait time of only twelve weeks from the actual order date! Not only is the build much faster, it’s a helluva lot cheaper as well with a price tag of $135k compared to a staggering $200k.
If interested in ordering a UBB, you can guarantee that your build is in good hands after Tim worked with the likes of Steve Saleen to produced 24 Saleen 600-HP Ultimate Bad Boy S281E’s. Tim had some very successful Cannonball events but still wanted something to seriously rock his socks off.
After that, he decided to take Mustang matters into his own hands and roll out the UBB brand in 2007. The new “Ultimate Bad Boy”, or the UBB 1100, is giving the newly revealed Shelby 1000 a run for the money. Brit Mustang lover, Tim Porter, has created the ultimate creation in regards to high-performance Mustangs. The UBB was one thing, but the UBB 1100 is downright insane!
The newly reinvented UBB is a beast. It goes from 0-60 in 3.7 seconds at 230 mph and has an incredible amount of torque at 850 lb/ft. This beast puts down 900HP with 93 octane and will reach 1020HP with 104 race fuel.
The UBB has the ever so popular 32 valve 5.4L that is Whipple supercharged. It has UBB-branded coilovers with Penski adjustable coil over shocks. It also features Advan traction control, 1000cc fuel injectors, and twin cooling fans. Stopping power is provided by Brembo brakes, and it also has a custom UBB 200MPH speedometer with the gauges designed by Tim himself.
For looks it features three-piece 18×10.5 split alloy wheels that are wrapped in 305/35/18 Toyo R888 tires. It has the UBB body kit in full lightweight carbon fiber. The UBB sound system is a CD player with Microsoft Sync complete with voice command and a hand-held controller.
Some of the extras available to order with your new UBB consist of a glass roof, Recaro racing seats, extra set of track wheels, and park sensors. Laser jammers are built right in if you’re feeling a bit frisky with the gas pedal and happen to pass the fuzz. Another option for the UBB is a de-catted exhaust.
Previous models of the UBB have been featured in Fifth Gear and featured in the book of 100 Sexiest Cars. The car also had a double-page feature and cover of ‘The Times’ supplement where it received a 4-star rating and was called “Less a Mustang, more of a pack of wild horses.” As we all know that the UK Top Gear guys aren’t the biggest fan of our favorite American car, but they are supposed to get their hands on the 2013 UBB1000 this summer for a test drive. We’ll see if a fellow Brit-built Mustang just might have those guys changing their minds.
