The Roadster Shop created one of the cleanest classic Mustangs on The SEMA Show floor. This 1965 Mustang is named Vapor.

Coyote-swap classic Mustangs are all the rage at this year’s automotive aftermarket industry trade show in Las Vegas. They range from mild to wild, but one that stands out for its clean lines and Edelbrock-supercharged power is Vapor, a custom 1965 Mustang built by The Roadster Shop to showcase Eaton’s products.

“Eaton’s engineering expertise with our supercharger and differentials resulted in the products you see on the Vapor,” Amy Kartch, director, aftermarket sales, Eaton Vehicle Group, said. “Having a presence on such an exciting vehicle reaffirms Eaton’s technical capabilities in providing products for the automotive aftermarket that are designed to handle high performance applications.”

The Coyote engine that powers Vapor produces over 785 horsepower thanks to an Edelbrock supercharger based on Eaton’s 2.3-liter TVS rotorpack.

Obviously Vapor is built with Eaton gear like its Detroit Truetrac 5 pinion rearend, but it’s those Twin Vortices Series rotors inside the Edelbrock supercharger that turn a cool Coyote swap into a 785-horsepower/660 lb-ft beast.
