TMI Products’ new Pro Chicane Sport VXR is a light, comfortable race seat that will bolt right into your 1979 and newer Mustang.
If you are looking to shave a few pounds in your street/strip ’Stang, TMI Products has a new series of race seats called the Pro Chicane Sport VXR. These stylish and functional seats are light, comfortable and ready to bolt into your Mustang.
What’s nice is we already have brackets to fit these seats into Fox, SN-95, S197 and S550
It’s great that TMI offers an attractive comfortable race seat, but what’s even better is they have the brackets to make them a direct-fit for a wide range of Mustangs.

The Chicane Pro is available in a variety of materials from basic vinyl to vinyl, suede and grommets.
“As far as Mustang goes, I think this is going to be the one that fits the most,” Waylon said. “What’s nice is we already have brackets to fit these seats into Fox, SN-95, S197 and S550 Mustangs. They are model specific, which I think will go a long way.”
The cool thing that we offer that you can’t get from anybody else that does a race seat is a matching back seat
“The cool thing that we offer that you can’t get from anybody else that does a race seat is a matching back seat,” Waylon explained. “We already have the upholstery patterns for every Mustang that’s out there through 2017, so if you put a pair of these into an S550, I have rear seat that will match.”

TMI also offers this sweet, fixed-back race seat, which only tips the scales at 24 pounds with a bracket. We checked it out. It is snug and comfy.
These seats start out at about $899 a pair for base vinyl, and stepping up to vinyl/suede with grommets will set you back about $1,299 a pair. Should you want to match your rear seat, that upholstery ranges from $250-$400, depending on what combination of materials you choose.
“We wanted to make sure they were affordable,” Waylon added. “Mustang guys want to go fast first. So, if they can go fast and be comfortable within a budget, I think we have found a winning combination.”
