Large car events always have a number of amazing cars with owners who take pride in showing off something they’ve put a lot of elbow grease and hard work into. Let’s not forget the money that gets put into such a project. Usually a dream car has to go through the steps and stages of bringing it from rags to riches. There’s nothing like an immaculate exterior and the horsepower to back it up resulting in the perfect complete package.
At the Goodguys event in Colorado, one shiny ride really stood out: a Cobra 427 with a wicked paint scheme of black and blue, the colors that some might get when messing with such a vehicle. Not only does it look incredibly mean, its bite is worse than its bark. Under the hood, the incredibly shiny engine is capable of an incredible amount of power — some 1,000 horses. That’s 1,000 horsepower out of a very small car that weighs in at only 2,200 lbs.
You see, where there is usually chrome accents on a Shelby Cobra like this has been replaced with extremely lightweight carbon fiber. Even the entire interior has been completely decked out in the super light material. According to Classic Nation, this car was hand built by the owner down inside of his basement. Every little detail has been hand made. The color scheme is killer with pearly blue stripes on a black body. This Cobra is likely to turn some heads no matter what what kind of car enthusiast is nearby.
