What was once just a guy with his Subaru and a few well-placed video cameras has become a worldwide phenomenon known as Gymkhana. The first two videos went viral, and then Block jumped ship to Ford, wasting no time cranking out two top-notch, high production-value quality Gymkhana videos in short order.

Just like clockwork, the summer is here, and the word is out that the next Gymkhana video lands on July 9th. Mark your YouTube.

Since trading in his Subaru for the Ford Fiesta Hybrid Function Hooning Vehicle, Ken Block’s Gymkhana Part 3 and 4 having upped the ante, so to say. It looks like Gymkhana Part 5 will take place on the streets of San Francisco, as evidenced by the streetcars and trolley tracks in the background of the promo shot.

Some have accused Block of straying too far from the rough roots of the original Gymkhana video, especially after the over-the-top Hollywood rendition from last summer. The streets of San Francisco represent plenty of potential for entertaining hoonage, and we’re sure Block has plenty of new tricks and old standbys planned for Part 5.
