It is, to be blunt, the ultimate Mustang.

The 2013 Shelby’s are only just starting to hit dealerships. While Ford is still embargoing most reviews, Motor Authority was able to upload a video of the 2013 Shelby GT500 doing what it does best; turning tires into burnt rubber.

As with most major automakers, Ford gives members of the motoring press a chance to drive new cars before they actually start selling them. All Ford asks is that the journalists keep their opinions to themselves until a designated time. We imagine the first reviews for the 2013 Shelby GT500 will crop up on Monday morning.
