Though automakers may no longer be building big-block engines, there are still hardcore engine guys out there who will use nothing but big-block motors. Sometimes these engines have twice the displacement of modern V8 engines, and the amount of torque they can crank out of all those cubic-inches is scary. And the sound, oh the glorious sound!

But when it comes to dyno-tuning these beasts, you had better look out; more than one engine dyno has met an inglorious fate at the hand of a Ford FE big-block. That is why engine builders like Jay Brown, who built this beautiful fuel-injected 530 cubic-inch Ford big-block engine for drag week opted for a Superflow Dyno.
