While SEMA 2012 is over and done with, there were so many cool stories at this year’s Las Vegas event that we’re still sorting through them. One of the cooler stories was the announcement of a winner for the Falken Tire/Ford Mustang contest that saw two of the top drifters in the world delivering a modified Mustang to one lucky contestant.
Thankfully, Falken Tires thought to videotape the whole thing, and even after being flown to SEMA and taken out in front of a crowd of people, the reality of winning a new Mustang modified by Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Justin Pawlak doesn’t seem to have sunk in.
Like many people, winner Kenny entered the Falken Tire contest in the hopes of winning a Mustang RTR done up by Gittin and Pawlak. There were over 100,000 entries for the Mustang, meaning the chances of actually winning were infinitesimally small. So like most people, Kenny just plain old forgot that he had entered this contest.
So when he found out he had won, we imagine Kenny was quite ecstatic to learn that he was getting a race-prepped Mustang RTR for the effort of entering his name into an online contest. Best of all, he got a trip to SEMA, and both Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Justin Pawlak were on hand to give him the keys to his new Mustang…but not before showing Kenny how the drift kings handle business.
Kind of makes a guy want to spend the rest of the afternoon entering contests for free cars, eh?
