We’re not sure who to blame for the big-wheel phenomenon that has swept the automotive community in the last decade. Is it the gangster rappers, with their songs about bling and big wheels? Do we blame the wheel companies themselves, for pawning the “bigger is better” mentality? Or do we blame the OEM’s, who have made 20+-inch wheels mandatory equipment on most performance cars?
We guess at the end of the day, the only person to blame for this monstrosity of a Mustang riding on 30-inch wheels is the owner, who seems strangely proud of awkward muscle car.
This Mustang was fitted with these wheels by a new South Florida shop called Ace Whips, and in the (NSFW video due to language) the owner goes on to talk about how his Oldsmobile was wrecked, but it ain’t no thang, ‘cause now he has this Candy Slime Green Mustang rolling on 30-inch wheels.
Yes, they do make 30-inch wheels, and these DUB Delusion Floaters are the first such massive wheels to be fitted to an S197 Mustang. Yes, they are spinners, and yes that is a wad of cash that guy is using to clean his wheels. We don’t know how much these wheels cost, never mind the wheel-well and suspension modifications needed to fit them to the Mustang. But we can ask…was it really worth it?
And in case you are wondering why they call these wheels floaters…stick around for the end of the vehicle to see why.
