We’ve waited patiently (or not) for the next installment of Ken Block’s Gymkhana series, and through all the teaser videos and photos our anticipation and excitement has only been building. We knew from the get-go that Block would be attacking San Francisco in his 650 horsepower Ford Fiesta, and now we have ten minutes of hauling ass and hoonage around this iconic city to enjoy.
At ten minutes in length, this is one of the longer Gymkhana videos, and in many ways it is a return to the roots over Gymkhana. Sure, there are still plenty of gimmicks to enjoy, including Block doing donuts around a couple of moving trolley cars, which is pretty wicked to watch. But trolleys aren’t the only San Fran icon that debut in Block’s latest Gymkhana.
Block eventually makes his way down to a barge at the famous San Francisco harbor, where he does donuts and burns rubber in a hastily-laid floating Gymkhana course. After leaving the barge, Block then heads for San Francisco’s legendary hilly roads, getting some incredible air in the process.
As always, Block demonstrates some truly enviable driving skills, coming inches from an expensive wipe out. And we have to marvel at the toughness of the Fiesta as well; if we tried any of the stunts that helped make Block famous, we’re pretty sure our daily drivers would just…die. Keep an eye out for special guest Travis Pastrana on his dirt bike, and let us know in the comments if this was Block’s best Gymkhana yet.
