Getting to be a professional race car driver has got to be at the top of our dream job list (right after Federal Boob Inspector and chocolate taste-tester.) For 2010 Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. though, racing and making movies about racing is all in a day’s work. Gittin finds himself in high demand these days though; when he isn’t winning Formula Drift, he is busy building his line of RTR Mustangs or promoting video games like Need For Speed: The Run.
This one-minute video spot called “The Chase” was part of the promotional campaign for Need For Speed: The Run. But this is the first time we’re seeing it, so we figured we might as well share.
This brief spot features Gittin just crusing along is his hopped-up RTR-X Mustang, which is a classic body with a modern drivetrain. With the individual throttle bodies of the Coyote 5.0 engine sticking up from the hood, and the low-slung blacked-out body, the RTR-X Mustang is nothing to trifle with.
But then comes a more modern 2011+ style Mustang right up Gittin’s rear end. It too is an RTR package Mustang, and the chase is on. We’re not sure why we never saw this video when Need For Speed: The Run came out last November. Sometimes companies make promotions, only to never use them. Whatever the case though, at least we got to watch it now.
Does Gittin’s endorsement of a game like Need For Speed make you want to buy it any more? Tell us below in the comments.
