Now covered head to tail with messages and signatures to support the wounded and fallen soldiers of our United States Armed Forces, this patriotic Shelby Super Snake will cross the auction block with Russo and Steele in Newport Beach between June 19-21, 2014.
With a healthy 850 horses stuffed under the hood, this red, white, and blue vinyl-wrapped super Stang blazed through 48 states and 60 cities logging over 21,000 miles with a mission “to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.” On the High Five Tour, Americans signed and left messages in silent tribute of those who have fought and risked their lives in war.
This Shelby Mustang was given the ultimate treatment with a Super Snake package bumping the already-capable 662-hp up to a menacing 850 hp. To help ground all of that power while adding an aggressive stance, the rear was converted to a wide-body and the body was wrapped with a patriotic vinyl.
Col. John Folsom, USMC (Ret.), President and Founder of Wounded Warriors Family Support, raised $650,000 last year, with the help of sponsors and Americans everywhere, to go towards building “smart homes” for two of our deserving wounded soldiers and their families. A “smart home” is an energy-efficient home built and designed to help severely wounded warriors get the accessibility they need to live more independent lives.
This year, the 2014 High Five tour kicked off on Memorial Day weekend with an all-new patriotic 2014 GT500 Super Snake Ford Mustang and a similar plan of 48 states, 60 cities and 26,000 miles. Check out the tour dates to plan your visit with the Wounded Warriors GT500 Super Snake Mustang and leave your own words of encouragement on the Mustang for our soldiers.
