When it comes time to squeeze more power out of you the engine under the hood of your 2007-2009 GT500 or your 03-04 Cobra the first place many owners look is to a supercharger upgrade for the factory blower. The factory blowers that Ford uses on these cars are roots type blowers made by Eaton. Many enthusiasts affectionately call these Eaton roots blowers “Heatons” thanks to the heat created as boost builds.

Strapping a twin-screw blower on the engine in place of the factory roots blower allows the owner to run more boost without increasing the intake air temperatures as much allowing the car to make more power. The cooler the air going into the car is, the less timing the car pulls allowing more power to be made.
