Traditionally, sled pulling is left to four-wheel drive trucks, as getting traction with just two wheels and hauling several tons of cement blocks can be…difficult. But this was a supercharged 1999-04 F-150, so it had quite a bit of power on tap to play with. Still, it cannot be overstated what a disadvantage 2WD is in a sled pulling contest.
So how’d he do? Shockingly well if you ask us. Despite having just 2WD, this Lightning hauled the weighted sled over 100 feet. The supercharger earned its weight in this endeavor, that’s for sure. The video never mentions the tow weight, though it is assuredly well over two tons, and perhaps more. It’s a new use for an old Lightning, that’s for sure. Would you ever enter a Lightning or other sport truck in a tractor pull?
