When times get tough and the economy is in the crapper, sometimes drastic measures need to be taken to survive. Whether it’s to get yet another job to pay the bills, or start your own company by doing something that most people wouldn’t dare subject themselves (or their Mustang) to. Something that doesn’t need a whole lot of money to start up.

Here’s one service that might be of service if your dog has left some unsightly mine fields in your back yard that sometimes you only find when it gets stuck to the bottom of your shoe. Believe it or not but, Poop 911 now has 46 franchises in 18 states and services about 12,000 customers every month. This branch in Florida serves three counties and is about three months old. At every light, people are pulling out their camera phones and taking a photo of the company’s graphics.

However, the business is important since dog poop is not good for anybody’s lawn like cow pies. Dogs are carnivores unlike cows and their poop carries bacteria, bugs and worms that could wash into storm drainage systems and waterways and it is also highly acidic.
