Thanksgiving weekend was more than just turkey and football for car people in Daytona, Florda, because it is also a tradition to attend one of the biggest car shows on the entire East coast – the Turkey Rod Run. The Cobra sitting next to it proudly displayed “Powered by Roush 427R” along the hood scoop. The name of that company is Backdraft Racing, based out of Boynton Beach, Florida, and they are more than willing to build your dream car out of their four models: BDR Roadster, BDR RT3B, BDR TD, and BDR RTX. BDR TD (Track Day) and BDR RT3B (Black Label)
The BDR TD comes ready for the track. This is the super high performance but still affordable for the races. The car features a fully integrated roll cage still capable of carrying a passenger, plus it’s lighter and comes with suspension that can be fine tuned at the track.
The BDR RTX is a crossover. It can drive on the street while still be competitive on the track. The body is one-piece glass reinforced plastic molding, or GRP, that is then hand laminated with extra reinforcement at the wheel wells. After the body is cured, it is inspected, added to the chassis and then fitted with a roll cage.
