The guys and gals over at AmericanMuscle.com are always bringing us some cool stuff such as the best aftermarket parts for our cars, and of course, building up some killer projects.
Their newest feat involves a ragged little ’93 Fox Body convertible in desperate need of some aftermarket lovin’…or just some plain lovin’, period. You can see that the top is taped together, and that it needs some body work and paint among other things.
So why did AM decide to save this little pony? The answer is, to build a ’93 SVT Cobra convertible – a car that was never produced. The Fox Body Cobra was the first addition to the SVT lineup and deserves utmost respect by other Mustang owners around the globe. Usually when you come across one at any car event, it is pristine.
While this car isn’t starting out in excellent condition, it’s in good hands over in Pennsylvania where it has started Stage 1 of its build.
For that first stage, a tune up was seriously needed. The parts installed included an Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 clutch with an SR Performance clutch adjuster kit, NGK Iridium IX performance spark plugs with MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm spark plug wires. Other mods include Accel Replacement Cap & Rotor Kit in gray, Ford Motorcraft serpentine belt, Mishimoto Performance aluminum radiator and Mishimoto Performance slim electric radiator fan, Mishimoto Racing thermostat, Ford Racing Performance radiator hose kit, SR Performance black cold air intake, and SR Performance Billet smog pump eliminator. Among all of that, the left and right fenders were replaced and left unpainted for now.
With quite a few mods installed, it looks like this Fox may be ready for some paint and more goodies! Stay tuned.
