This thirteen year project in the making ended in a work of art. After a countless amount of blood, sweat, and tears Vic Putiri has resurrected this once forgotten horse. Built with a passion for the pony and a love for project rides, Putiri opened his stable and began a rehabilitation on this lost cause project like no other he’d worked on before.
With only a vision of the final product and no time-frame set a Putiri began to lay the foundation. After at few years of acquiring and collecting parts, the time finally came to begin to breathe new life into this dormant beast.
A stock 302 is breathed on by a Powerdyne supercharger waking up the engine with 10 pounds of boost. A GT-40 lower intake was put into place fed by a 70mm throttle body. To increase the engine’s high RPM vavletrain stability while also reducing friction and horsepower loss 1.7 Ford Racing Roller Rockers were added as well.
Moving to the exhaust Jet Hot shorty headers were installed with the exhaust flowing through a BBK H-Pipe and out of a Flowmaster American Thunder 2 ½-inch cat-back. Next to improve stance Eibach lowering springs were installed along with Hotchkis caster camber plates and KYB shocks and struts. For a smooth ride for those Saturday cruises Putiri bolted-on 17×8 Bullitt wheels wearing 245/45 zr17 BFG G-Force T/A wheels and tires and on the rear 18×9 Bullitts with 275/40 zr18 BFG G-Force T/A. Ford Motorsports 3.73 gears sit in the 8.8 housing boosting the Fox’s acceleration.
Putiri went all out finishing the exterior and interior of this sweet ride. Sporting a custom two tone silver and strawberry metallic design with an interior converted from gray to black. New carpet was installed along with matching headliner and door panels. The rear seats were recovered and Corbeau front seats bolted in.
Setting off the interior a new sliver instrument cluster was installed with six silver faced auto meter gauges. The dash and console were custom painted and a BBK shifter and custom knob swapped in finishing off this bangin design. This the latest ride brought to us by our friends over at Rate My Ridez is an award winning ride that is currently stampeding through the streets of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. What else would you add to this two tone creation?
