Headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ – Barrett-Jackson is renowned for being “The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions”. The company was actually established in 1971, and has since then held numerous car auctions in cities like Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada – just to name a few.
They also do live broadcasts on national TV through channels like Discovery and Velocity in over 100 countries.
On August 6-8th, you’ll get the chance to bid on some pretty amazing cars at the 3rd Annual Hot August Nights Auction, located in Reno Tahoe, NV. The cars come from the famous “Day Family Classic Cars Museum” and a few private owners.
From a 2007 Ford Mustang Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition to an “American Idol” autographed Barrett-Jackson Edition 2008 Ford Shelby GT Coupe – there’s definitely some rare and diverse Mustangs that’ll be here this year. Did we also mention that both cars from NBC’s TV series “Knight Rider” will be available, too?
That’s right, you’ll get the chance to bid on the hero KITT car, which is a Ford Racing Whipple Supercharged 2008 Mustang GT rated at 400 horsepower with only 541 actual miles on the clock! Also available will be the 2008 Ford Mustang GT “Attack-Mode KITT” – which has been modified to look like a Shelby GT500KR by Ford and Shelby Racing.
