Last year, we introduced our readers to XForce exhaust and its Varex line of mufflers. Over the past year we’ve also shown off XForce components on the 2015 Mustang GT.
The Varex mufflers allow for nearly infinitely adjustable sound levels from the driver’s seat at the touch of a button. Driver’s can take their exhaust from a healthy, but mild sound level, to a rowdier more robust level, and anywhere in between. At this year’s SEMA Show, XForce rolled out a new line of components for the 2015 Mustang.
“This year we have the full release of our complete engine back exhaust system for the 2015 Mustang GT,” says XForce’s Adam Matthews. The 304 stainless system carries a five-year warranty on the exhaust system, and a two-year warranty on the actuators for the Varex mufflers.
The headers are constructed with 1 7/8-inch primary tubes and exhaust flows from there into the three-inch tubes all the way back the Varex mufflers. The mid-pipe is available with or without a 100 cell catalyst to help owners comply with local emissions laws.
Demonstrating that the Mustang GT is in dire need of a quality exhausts system Matthews says, “We were able to gain 100 horsepower and 60 lb-ft of torque at the rear tires with this system.”
XForce hasn’t forgotten about EcoBoost owners, either. The company has developed a cat-back exhaust system for the EcoBoost that can be used with the Varex mufflers as well. Just like on the GT system these parts are constructed from three-inch 304 stainless steel.
Matthews says the Mustang GT system is available now, and the EcoBoost system has been available for order for some time with orders beginning shipment this month. For more information, or to hear the Varex system and other XForce components, be sure to check out the XForce website.
