Can you believe that next week brings the end of October and the beginning of November? We can, because the whole office is ramping up for the annual SEMA Show is Las Vegas. While we’re busy getting ready, so are our favorite car makers, including Ford. We can’t wait to see what the Blue Oval brings to the convention center floor…and today we got our first hint.
The Ford Racing Facebook page shared with us this close-up picture teasing a SEMA-bound project. The post says they’ll have “Big news” from SEMA, which leaves open the possibility for just about anything. Is it a Mustang project? A Focus ST? Or something even more badass?
We’ll try to reign in our imaginations for a minute and analyze what we have to work with…which isn’t much. The only picture Ford Racing revealed was a close up of some sort of vent. It looks like the hood vents you get on a stock Mustang GT, and that could be a hood stripe in the right corner of the teaser picture.
But given the nature of the photograph, it could just as easily be something else. Perhaps the big news is the return of the Ford GT? That’s wishful thinking…but what about a hotter version of the Focus ST? Maybe it’s not the new Mustang, but a new model of Mustang made for the very last year of production before a new model comes out?
It could be anything, and if we get anymore clues we’ll be sure to make some wild and baseless speculations as soon as possible. Ford Racing has about 3 years going on their last media Mustang and we assume what you see will be it’s replacement.
