A few weeks ago we brought you the teaser on ROUSH’s 2015 Mustang. The shadowy image didn’t give us much to go on in terms of how ROUSH’s version of the sixth-generation pony car would look other than a silhouette. The company promised more images and info as things progressed.
Recently ROUSH made good on that promise with three more images. The first shows part of the hood and the front fender on a S550 at ROUSH headquarters. In the photo the first thing that stands out is the hood vent. This appears to be a different design than the factory GT vent. It’s also unclear whether this is an entirely new hood or a modified version of the factory piece.
The cowl also appears to be taller than on the standard S550, and extend farther toward the front of the car. The angle in the photo makes it somewhat difficult to be 100-percent certain. We’d wager this is an all new hood given it’s a different color than the car it is sitting on. We’re wondering if this hood is all about looks or perhaps a slightly taller cowl is necessary to clear a supercharger?
Also in this photo we noticed that the wheels appear to be different than anything in the Mustang’s option list, another clue that ROUSH is again working to develop an extensive list of parts for the car.
Two other photos were released with this one. One of the all new 2015 ROUSH badge. Here we can see that it has been updated to reflect the more modern lines of the car that it will adorn. We’re also given a profile pic of the rear quarter.
That profile pic is also a limited angle. Again we noticed the wheels right away, but looking more closely we can see the addition of a side scoop to the quarter of the car. To us this is very reminiscent of the 99-04 cars, and we wonder whether this scoop is functional or purely aesthetic.
No word yet on when ROUSH will begin selling these bad boys, what the power ratings will be, or when we’ll get our hands on one for a few days. For the latest updates on the 2015 ROUSH be sure to check out the ROUSH Facebook page.
