For 2015 the Bluegrass Super Shifters series will head back to tracks in Kentucky and Ohio. The series will again feature two classes, S-Stick for cars running slicks and faster than 8.50 ETs in the 1/8-mile, and D-Stick for the slower cars running drag radials or street tires. There are a few changes to the schedule this year, including taking the series to five different tracks.

The biggest change for 2015 will be the series utilizing a Comp Format at some select races. The Comp Format is a way to ensure that racers get more racing in during an event. In these races, racers will get two time runs. A ladder is then set based on reaction time. Competitors will then run four races on a rotating ladder -everyone runs a different car each pass. After the four rounds of racing, the top four cars -those with the most wins, will face off in the semi-finals, with the winners going to the finals.

Bluegrass Super Shifters races are open to anyone with a standard manually operated stick shift transmission to compete. There’s a complete list of rules, but they’re similar to most street car type stick shift class rules. No mechanical aides for shifting or clutch engagement.
