Though Carroll Shelby’s body remains in some sort of weird legal limbo, the company that bears his name is soldiering on without their founder. This means that production of the first Shelby 1000’s is already well underway, and other Mustang packages are being designed and tested before their final revealed.
Last week, Shelby American announced some major updates to its 2013 GT350 line that includes several new colors and options that enthusiasts have been asking for.
These updated colors and options are debuting with the refreshed 2013 Mustang, which will now be available in every hue that comes stock from the Ford factory. This includes Gotta Have it Green, Grabber Blue, and Deep Impact Blue among other colors. This is a wide expansion of the color options offered on the 2011 and 2012 GT350 Mustangs, which were limited to just a handful of colors.
In addition to the new colors, the 2013 GT350 will also get an expanded list of options. This includes the glass roof, Recaro racing seats, and a custom rear valence. The post-title package will also bump naturally-aspirated horsepower up to 450 ponies, though supercharger kits can crank power well above 600. The 2013 GT350 package starts at $26,995, including the cost of a Mustang GT. Just another way Carroll Shelby’s legacy lives on.
