The new Mustang RTR is roarin’ and ready to go after a newly installed suspension, consisting of brand new coilovers by Moton. Also, it now has unique, prototype suspension pieces by Kenny Brown performance that will be revealed soon on the PAS website.
As the day went on, the team tried to make the changes as they saw fit, but with the busy track layout schedule and driver Chris Cobetto needing to meet with track officials for upcoming events, physical track time was limited. However, a few laps were made along with 4 short sessions, they felt confident in what they needed to change before coming back for the race this weekend. Check out the video that has views from the splitter cam, the dash cam, and the passenger cam.
The RTR wasn’t the only one to show up at test day; Robert Korzen was there to test his own high-performance Mustang, the FR500S, for the first time this year as well. His track time was cut short due to a dying clutch and some rear end problems. He did say he was pleased with the car. Kevin had to adjust his rev limiter up an additional 300 rpm since he was carrying more speed on a few turns and should carry the gear a bit farther as to not having to shift while taking a turn.
It sounds like a good day at the track was had for the RTR and it should be ready to go come this weekend during the races. The sponsors for the ‘Stang include Mustang RTR, Moss Muscle, Kenny Brown Suspension, Moton, HRE Performance Wheels, Ford Racing, Baer, Hawk, Sparco, C&R Radiators, Exedy Clutches, and Grassroots Motorsports.
