We are already halfway through December, and much of North America has already experienced its first batch of snowfall. Likewise, many car enthusiasts have already battened down the hatches on their project vehicles until spring.
However. if you happen to own a Ford Performance vehicle like the Ford F-150 Raptor or Ford Focus RS, enjoying a factory hot rod in the snow is almost a right of passage. Both of these Ford Performance vehicles were purposely built for year-round enjoyment, and Ed Krenz, Chief Functional Engineer at Ford Performance, shows us just how capable and fun both the Raptor and Focus RS can be during the winter holiday season in the video above.
“The mission of what we do at Ford Performance is to win at the racetrack, and apply those learnings to our Ford Performance products.” Ed explained.”Our F-series truck is the smartest, toughest and most capable truck. With the Raptor, we take that all to the next level.”

The Ford Raptor feels right at home both in the desert and the snow thanks to its unique dual-mode transfer case. The transfer case features a clutch-driven all-wheel-drive system which will automatically switch from two-wheel drive to all-wheel-drive once slip is detected, allowing the driver to maintain positive control during the harsh winter months.
“All products engineered by Ford Performance continue to deliver on the promise of technology and innovation,” Ed added.
And, the video above is proof that these two vehicles were meant to be enjoyed year round.
