It’s time to bring back the Friday Fan Feature, a section that allows our reader to have  their pride and joy in the spotlight. Mustang owners take a great deal of pride in their rides, and we want to show them off for you. This Friday Fan Feature goes to Michael Scribellito, a computer programmer, the proud owner of a nicely modified 2004 Mustang GT.

With the rebirth of Ford’s almighty upgraded 5.0-liter dubbed the Coyote, sometimes it seems as if the 4.6-liter has taken a backseat to all the hype. While the Coyote has been busy giving a black eye to GM, we still don’t feel as if the 4.6-liter stuffed inside of any late SN-95, New Edge, or S197 Mustang, is inferior by any means. Michael’s New Edge GT is no exception with it generating 450 horsepower to the rear wheels.

Purchased back in 2009, Michael’s 2004 GT was completely bone stock, but here we are nearing the end of 2014 and the car is sporting many modifications. Over the years, Michael has transformed his GT into his very own masterpiece. Besides a Vortech supercharger connected to a custom air-to-air intercooler setup, the engine is relatively stock with the exception of cams. Along with the aforementioned mods, Michael added a tune by Powercurve Motorsports which helped bump his New Edge to 450 hp at the rear wheels.

Other than adding the tune, Michael has performed all work himself making the car that much more sentimental. Blood, sweat, and tears on your very own project make the build more meaningful. The car isn’t finished, future plans now include a forged short-block and much bigger brakes.

Exterior modifications can gain the attention of other Mustang enthusiasts, and Michael’s car is no exception. Gracing the sides are Cobra side skirts, Mach 1 sail panels, Bullitt side scoops, and a spoiler delete.

Michael has spent many years with his GT, and he has taken it to many Mustang Weeks, that annual July event held for all Mustangs in the beachside town of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Not only does he frequent local car and Mustang events, he also shares his passion for the pony car with his fiancé, who drives around her own 2001 Mustang Bullitt.
