Baer Brakes unveiled their new line of master cylinders today at the SEMA show. Dubbed the “Remaster” cylinder, the units are fully machined from billet aluminum and are available in multiple bore sizes. While the company has been widely recognized for its line of performance brake calipers and rotors, master cylinders represent a new step toward a complete braking system for Baer.

The Remaster is a direct-replacement for other master cylinders, and is available with Ford, GM and Mopar bolt patterns. Available finishes include several hard-anodized colors, as well as polished and custom colors. The Remaster is of a compact design to make fitment easier in applications with little under-hood real estate.

“The masters will all be a 1-inch bore size, but a 15/16-inch and 1 1/8-inch versions will be offered soon,” said Melvin Patterson of Baer. The availability of bore sizes allows the end user to fine-tune the hydraulic ratio for various applications. Also, right and left-hand port configurations will be offered.

One of coolest aspects of the new hydraulic hardware though, is the optional addition of a proportioning valve on the master cylinder case. This insightful add-on reduces the need for extra external lines and really cleans up the installation.

On top, the master cylinder is sealed by two thread-on caps. This huge improvement over factory wire-latch mechanisms makes checking the fluid level much more convenient as well as keeps dirt and grit out of the hydraulic system.
