For those looking to share their love for the iconic Ford Mustang, then National Mustang Day is the perfect holiday for you. A couple of years ago, the concept of a Mustang day became a reality and the word has spread quickly.
Based on the information from the first celebration, the founders estimated that there was a chance that 8,000 Mustang owners would take part in the festivities, but they grossly underestimated the popularity of a day dedicated to driving America’s favorite pony car. At present, there are over 15,000 participants who have signed up for their free window decal and Mustang club activities.
Participants and clubs were encouraged to plan Mustang-related activities for the holiday and share their plans with the founders. As a result, clubs from across the country have listed their activities on the day’s official website.
From cruises to car shows, these regional events are scheduled to start this weekend and continue through April. This celebration has even attracted international attention, with the Alberta Mustangs Auto Club planning a cruise west of Calgary depending on the weather. Just in case the weather turns ugly, this dedicated club plans to celebrate National Mustang Day on April 22, 2017 at their Spring Fling event.
Fortunately, there are many clubs who are not hindered by snow and ice; the Vegas Valley Mustangs are planning a cruise starting at the M hotel, breakfast, and a trip to Speed Vegas race track. For those looking for something a little different, the Southeastern NC Mustang Club has planned a scavenger hunt or poker run to make the most of Mustang Day.
Regardless of your location, there is likely to be a National Mustang Day activity coming to a city near you, so be sure to check out the official site here to find one.
