Some cars and their capabilities continue to impress us. A while back we found a video of a twin turbo V6 Mustang taking on a BOSS and a Corvette. Now it appears that same Mustang is back taking on a massaged Nissan GTR somewhere in Texas.
Six cylinder Mustangs have always had sort of a little brother status among Mustang fans. The little cars have gained in popularity in recent years as the six-banger now makes more power than its GT big brothers of just a few years ago. We’ve seen plenty of fast six cylinder Mustangs in recent years but this one seems to take the prize for biggest sleeper of them all.
The video comes from 1320 video. The owners are claiming 575 hp with the twin 67mm turbos. Add to that he’s also thrown in 100 hp of giggle gas which in the video he says he “plays with”. The competition in this video’s matchup is no slouch either. While we’re not import guys here at StangTV however, we’ll admit that the Nissan GTR is lethal, these cars are downright mean on the street or track. This particular one has had the stock turbo upgraded to a billet compressor wheel, and the owner is claiming 20 psi of boost and 720 hp to the rear tires. Combined with the GTR’s all wheel drive system it would seem that the V6 pony is well outmatched.
With three guys piled into the Mustang, it would seem the odds aren’t in its favor of winning this race. Just like the last time we saw this car it quickly surprises the competition, leaving the GTR behind in the two races on video, the Mustang makes it look easy.
What’s next for this twin turbo six banger Mustang? We don’t know, we’d like to see what it will do in a legal setting on the track, especially since we’re not proponents of street racing. We doubt that will happen anytime soon as it looks like the owner is having too much fun terrorizing bigger competition on the street.
