When it comes to the evolution of the Ford Mustang, many of us here would need to designate a large time slot to recreate our favorite Pony cars rise to fame accurately. Fortunately, the crew over at Car Evolution created a 5-minute video that does a pretty good job of covering our favorite pony car’s epic journey through time.
What began as an original design based off the Ford Falcon platform, the Mustang became one of the few classic automobiles that has been in continuous production for more than 50 years Fast forward to present day, and the Ford Mustang fanbase has reached over 8 million Facebook followers. Now that’s some brand loyalty!
From the first generation Mustang’s debut at the New York World's Fair back in 1964 to the release of the 2018 Mustang — which is scheduled to hit showroom floors this fall — Car Evolution takes us on an enjoyable 5-minute ride through the evolution of the Mustang.
The video above takes Mustang fans for a ride through its rich history and gives us a visual reminder of the design changes and sounds that kept the Pony car at the forefront.
Car Evolution was quick to point out that for the sake of time, not every model Mustang was represented in this video. Notable omissions were the introduction of the EcoBoost back in 2015 and the introduction of the Terminator in 2003, but the video does a solid job of covering the rise of the Pony car. And the sounds in the video are sure to bring back some great memories for any Mustang owner.
