Qualifying Round Two Part 1

Qualifying Round Two Part 2

Final Round Eliminations Part 1

Final Round Eliminations Part 2

We are here in Atco New Jersey for NMRA’s third event of the 2010 season, second point’s event. They were calling for a good chance of rain today but as of now it’s a hot and humid. The track staff is prepping the track for the test & tune that will be run at 3pm.

Cars are still coming in through the gate and making their way to tech. Currently some of NMRA’s top cars are here on the grounds.

We have Mike Murillo and his bad Mustang running in Pro Outlaw looking to dip into the 6.60 mark at over 200 MPH.

Ken Ewer in Drag Radial who just finished his new motor a few weeks ago and ran it at the Cecil County meet for the first time. Let’s see how he runs on the BFG’s this weekend at Atco!

Dave Guy in Drag Radial

Lou Proto and his nice convertible SSO ride.

Brian Mitchell making his way up to tech in one of the Wizard Mustangs!
Dan Rawls and his Inductions Soultions EFI Renegade ride is also here on the grounds.

The Tuten Brothers Chris and his SSO Mustang and Brian who has moved from EFI Renegade to Drag Radial are here ready to run for the winners circle here at Atco.

Don Bowles is here at Atco; Don who is the only non Mustang running in Hot Street with his Maverick.
Time to go out and see who else has arrived at Atco.

Will post updates once Test & Tune starts in about 45 minutes at 3pm.

Test and Tune Notes

We are continuing here with Test and Tune. First round of qualifying will be starting at 7pm.

Jason Lee in Drag Radial came off the trailer and his first pass goes an 8.02 @ 176! Look for some big runs this weekend out of the Red four eyed radial car.

Lou Proto had an aborted pass and goes 8.25.

Chris Tuten’s Super Street Outlaw car on his first test and tune pass went 7.59.

Don Bowles in the Hot Street Maverick ran an 8.60 @158. The old man can still do it!

We’ve yet to see Mike Murillo or John Urist come out for a test and tune pass but we still have a couple hours to go.

I’ll be back with more updates after I take a trip around the pits and see what everyone is up too.

Test & Tune continues with some impressive numbers with the Drag Radial cars!

Dave Guy goes 8.10 his first pass in the test & tune session. The Drag Radial cars are really stepping up in the test session. If this holds look out for a very close field here this weekend.

Chad Doyle not to be outdone comes up behind Dave Guy and runs 8.07. Doyle ran an 8.07 in Bradenton so it looks like the man from Michigan has his car dialed in.

Mike Murillo aborted his run so we’ll see what can if he comes out again and see if he can knock off a six second run.

Ken Ewer goes 8.32 in test and tune. Ewer just had a new motor finished a few weeks ago. He looks to improve on last years runner up finish at Atco.

First Round of qualifying has just been called up to the lanes. I’m going to head out now. I’ll be back with updates after round one has finished.

Qualifying Round 1 Notes

Drag Radial Qualifying

Jason Lee goes 7.94 @ 178.90 in the first round of qualifying in Drag Radial. Jason has been setting the bar for this class the past few years ran straight down the track in his first test and tune with an 8.02 and then busts off this killer time of 7.94.

Congrats Jason on the quick pass. He sure looks to be on his game this weekend.

Due to rain, the program had to be cut short this evening. The following results is what was available before the Compulink computer was shut down due to lightning in the area. I will post the other two classes that ran in the morning, and the classes that did not get the chance to run will only complete their two qualifying rounds tomorrow.
