My Classic Garage is building one bad Mustang, with the parts and look determined solely by their fans. The best part about the car is that after it’s built it will be given away to one lucky fan who was part of the build voting process.

Beginning with selecting the car, a 1967 Mustang, My Classic Garage fans have selected the type of build, engine, suspension, and exhaust. This Mustang will be setup to be as competent on the road course as it is cruising the streets. With modern Coyote power under the hood the lucky winner will get not only great performance from Ford’s 420 hp DOHC V8, but also great drivability in a reliable package.

The front and rear suspension will be comprised of pieces from Detroit Speed. Their Aluma-Frame front suspension will provide a lightweight, high-strength platform for not only superior handling but also for great ride with six-inches of suspension travel. Detroit Speed’s Quadralink rear suspension will ensure the rear half of the chassis can match the performance of the front.

Expelling the spent gasses from the Coyote will be a Borla exhaust system. The straight-through design of the system that voters chose will give the car great performance and an aggressive exhaust note.

That brings us up to the current voting, paint. It’s time to choose how the exterior of the car will look when it’s completed. There are no fewer than six choices for the paint color itself; red, orange, blue, green, gray, and black. There’s more than just picking a color here however, voters are also being asked to make a few more selections regarding the car’s appearance. Should the hood be left with its carbon fiber skin visible, with just the carbon fiver hood vents visible, or completely painted? What about stripes? Voters will be able to decide all of these things, and the outcome will be based on popular vote.
