The Shelby CS 6 was introduced at the Vortech/Paxton Booth during the 2005 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Featuring a custom hood, custom brakes, 20-inch American Racing wheels and Shelby Automobiles badging, the CS 6 also sported a Shelby-exclusive Paxton NOVI-1200 centrifugal supercharger that pumped the 4.0-liter V6 engine up to 350 hp.

Later, in May 2006, the company announced that the CS 6 would not go into production, but that a kit of all needed components would be made available. As a result, the CS 6 and its bigger sibling, the CS 8, are relatively unknown beyond the Shelby community and fully finished examples are exceedingly rare.

Currently available on eBay is what is said to be the first CS 6 pre-production prototype. According to the listing, the car was a Shelby development mule, used for testing powertrain, brake, exterior and interior components. Listed in the Official Shelby Registry, serial number 06C001P comes with an interesting history. The car has been shown in a number of popular magazines as well as being in an MM&FF calendar.

The car is reported to have been on display for several years in the Shelby museum and has not been restored or modified from its original development condition. At the moment, the car has not been bid past its reserve, so its still fair game for those with a true interest. You can check out the listing here.
