Cars are serious business. Sometimes deadly serious business. What led to the sudden and senseless murder of Chicane Tuning shop owner Joe Gosinski last December remains a mystery. His family and friends are still left searching for answers as a murderer continues to wander the streets. But while Joe is gone, he has not been forgotten by the Ford and Mustang community.
Mustangs Daily reports that a customer and former employee of Joe’s tuning shop have teamed up to build a special tribute car, a car that Joe himself had planned to build for the 2011 SEMA Show.
Just before his untimely death, Joe was in talks with Ford about building a 2011 Mustang that would blow people away. Joe was known as a perfectionist who preferred simple looking designs with lots of power and the ability to carve corners with the best of them. That dream was deferred after Joe was found murdered in his shop, but a former employee named Matt Bernal teamed up with an old customer of Chicane Tuning, Sal Valdez. Together, Valdez and Bernal are gathering together an army of companies and supporters who hope to put together a tribute car for the 2011 SEMA show.
The tribute car already has support from Vortech and Doug Thorley Headers, who offered them a spot at their booth to display the car, as well as building a custom exhaust system. It’s an amazing tribute to an awesome tuner, and we can’t wait to see the finished product at this fall’s SEMA show. And if you or anybody you know has information regarding this awful crime, there’s a $25,000 reward that expires on June 27th for any info leading to the arrest of the murderer.
