It is said that the Scottish invented golf, but Americans have really made the sport their own, often holding important meetings during a round of links. And when you’re trying to impress a prospective client, you don’t want to make them walk to the green. That’s why the golf cart was invented, after all. To show them you really mean business though, you can’t drive around in just any golf cart…it’s got to be impressive.
So what could be more impressive than the Mustang golf cart that Mustang Evolution came across on craigslist? Well…a lot of things, actually, but this muscle car golf cart is still cool if you ask us.
This is a custom job, front to back, as evidenced by the two different Mustang models represented on the front and rear of the car. While the front fascia is clearly inspired by the 1994-2004 “New Edge” Mustangs, the rear lights are from a much earlier era, around 1965 or so (if you ask us.) The golf cart is powered by 48 volts of electricity, or about 4 car batteries.
So it’s not exactly a speedy little contraption, though for the $6,500 asking price we were hoping for something a bit more…peppy? Though we’ve got to admit, the car does little pretty snazzy as a droptop, and we wouldn’t mind carousing the golf course in this unique set of wheels. Though for the price, we might just attach a go-kart engine to a Power Wheels Mustang instead. Sounds cheaper, though probably not golf course approved…
