Laguna Seca is one of America’s best-known road racing tracks, with a long history harkening back to the 1950’s. Many racing champions have battled on its famous track, and navigating at the track at top speed takes an incredible amount of skill that only the best drivers can manage.
You know what takes even more skill though? Navigating Laguna Seca in a Fox-body Mustang on two wheels. James “SKI” Smith attempted just such a feat in a four-eyed Fox-body Mustang. Do you think he made it?
As far as we know, such a feat has never been attempted, and it’s no wonder why. Cars are not meant to drive on two-wheels, and while such a feat certainly is possible, the car’s don’t last too long under such circumstances. That is doubly true for a Mustang that is at least 30-years old. We’re pretty sure that is a carbureted V8.
The tires also take a beating, and Smith tries to follow Tanner Foust’s drift-marks to preserve as much rubber as possible. Ultimately though, the odds are stacked against him, though we don’t want to ruin the ending. You’ll just have to watch the video to find out if this old Fox-body Mustang and James SKI Smith are up to such an unthinkable challenge.
