It’s no secret that for the money there may be no greater bargain than the 2012-2013 BOSS 302. This track-bred Mustang was designed to take on the best that the world had to offer, even being pitted head to head against the BMW M3, a darling of the general automotive press, and a car that is far more expensive than the BOSS.
If the BOSS’s 444 hp from the factory isn’t doing it for you, or you’re just looking to absolutely annihilate anything that you come across on the street, strip, or road course, then the guys at Brenspeed have the answer, not in the form of just a simple botl-on, but in the form of a wicked supercharger setup, that boosts the BOSS engine’s output by more than 200 hp.

From the factory the BOSS typically will put down about 379 hp to the rear tires in stock form. The Brenspeed test car featured in the video was also upgraded with a set of Kooks long-tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters. On the dyno with the Brenspeed supercharger package, the new combo produced 631 hp to the rear tires. That’s an increase of 252 hp! Torque maxes out around 525 ft-lbs, and the curve is flat and smooth. Customers without high flowing headers like those from Kooks should expect slightly less power output.
This is only the Stage 1 system. Brenspeed offers upgrades to make even more power if 715 hp at the crank is just not enough. For more information on this or other Brenspeed packages, checkout the Brenspeed web site.
