When you open the hood of any 2015 Mustang, regardless of what model it is, there’s one complaint we hear more than any other. What can we do about the coolant reservoir? The reservoir is so unsightly, that we think many equate it to a cheaply made part prone to failure, and not something that belongs under the hood of America’s favorite pony car.
To remedy this common issue, and bring not only more pleasing aesthetics to under the hood of any 2015 Mustang, but also a part that should last for years, Moroso, designed and constructed this coolant reservoir overflow tank. “It’s more robust, but not only that, it will look great when you pop open the hood,” says Moroso’s Kevin Brown.
Each tank is made from 50052 aluminum, TIG welded giving a custom fabricated feel to almost any Mustang owner. These tanks will also add strength to the cooling system, by removing the weak plastic link in the system.
Moroso is currently developing a brake booster cover as well as a fuse panel cover, which are similar in construction, for this application. These will likely be similar to pieces that we’ve seen before from the company and will be a nice compliment to the functional coolant reservoir, and give a race inspired appearance to the car’s engine bay.
