Scheduled to speak at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, President Barak Obama, arrived for a visit with several hundred Ford Motor Company workers and invited guests. The event was held in the plant’s vehicle pre-delivery area, where several of the 2015 Ford Focus vehicles were on display along with the all- new 2015 Ford Mustang.
Obama’s visit was speculated to be his effort in celebrating the resurgence of the Automobile industry after the government bailout, many found it rather odd the Commander and Chief choose Ford as the platform for such a celebration, being Ford Motor Company did not receive any bailout. Neither rhyme nor reason we can only conclude that Mr. Obama must have had a hankering to check out the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang which just happened to be within easily accessible distance of the President.
Smiles abound, the President was welcomed by Mark Fields the Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company and Mr. Bill Ford the current Ford Motor Company Executive Chairman who gladly gave Obama an exclusive personal tour of the facility. The Michigan Assembly Plant, which is currently closed this week due to slow sales and lack of demand for the Ford Focus, made for a good opportunity for the President to arrive with entourage in tow for a gander at the 6th generation Mustang. Automakers often close plants temporarily to make sure their inventories match demand. Ford said the plant will reopen Monday. None the less, the President, happily upon a meet and greet with guests in attendanc,e headed straight for the on display 2015 Ford Mustang for a his own evaluation. Based off expressions from photo footage we can conclude the President gave the Ford boys not only a thumbs up for not needing any bailout money but for delivering the most impressive generation yet of the iconic Ford Mustang.
