As Valentine’s Day goes many choose the standard of flowers, candy and even jewelry as the gift to give for their sweetie of choice. One lucky lady residing in Indianapolis, Indiana recently received something much different from her honey on this special day. A long time Mustang enthusiast, Mendy Pope could have not been more ecstatic than she was on Valentine’s Day when her husband of six years Monalito Pope surprised her with the gift of a Sonic Blue 2005 Ford Mustang awaiting her in the drive way.
With Mendy’s daily driver having recently given way to a blown out engine the couple had been in search of a new family friendly vehicle. The Mustang is often overlooked as being the family friendly car of choice, actually it’s not all that bad of a choice to consider. It includes a pretty roomy back seat, has ample trunk space, as well as top of the line safety features and delivers pretty good fuel economy on both highway and city roads from the standard V6 produced during this time period.
Mendy’s husband at first turned down any interest in purchasing a Mustang feeling it wasn’t practical. After some consideration and a change of heart, as well as financials in line, in secrecy he began the process of making his wife’s dream a reality.
The couple typically don’t celebre Valentine’s Day, as it happens to be her husband’s birthday as well, with the running joke that she normally gets the short end of the stick on this special day. Mendy shared she can’t really say that anymore with her husband pulling out all the stops for a Valentine’s Day not soon to be forgotten. As grocery getters go with toddlers in tow, Mendy is looking forward to enjoying her new Mustang and is unsure if any of what modification’s or changes she might make to the car. Keeping in mind there are mini me’s on board what modifications or upgrades would you make to this family toting Mustang?
