If you’re in the mood to build a Mustang into a racecar, then maybe this post is for you. Finding a suitable, unmolested chassis isn’t always the easiest thing to do, so often a racer is stuck either buying a brand-new car or repairing a wrecked chassis that could have all sorts of unseen damage.
We recently came across an eBay auction, where the seller has a sweet 2011 Mustang roller, item number 261286408900, with all sorts of add-ons that could make it the perfect buy for someone looking to get started using Ford’s latest and greatest Mustang chassis. However, if’ you’re looking for a machine to make into a road-going car, this one isn’t for you, as it’s sold with no title.
There are a few nicks and bumps on the chassis mentioned by the seller – a dent in the bottom of the spare tire carrier, and the driver’s door has a few dings as well, but these are non-issues for someone that’s planning on building a complete car – easily fixed in the body shop. The 2011 body has been outfitted with 2013 bodywork, including the big-mouth grille and a fresh rear bumper cover.
A 2012 GT500 has donated its front suspension and front control arms, while the springs and struts are from a V6 car, although these items would likely be replaced by the buyer anyway. There are many interior components like the dash, center console, steering wheel, and door glass, which are often the hardest parts to procure when sourcing a wrecked car or theft recovery.
The seller has many other race-related products for sale in his ebay store and perfect 100% positive feedback; if you’re in the market it appears as if this is a legit purchase to jump on. The car’s located in the Detroit area and has a very reasonable Buy It Now price of $9,200 – so maybe it’s time to make a run to the bank to make a withdrawal.
