The guys over at AmericanMuscle.com always have something interesting and exciting up their sleeves when it comes to their project cars. Their 2012 BOSS 302 is no exception. They decided to perform a few upgrades for a little extra power and rumble. First was the Kooks Long Tube Headers and matching off-road X-pipe, L&M throttle body, JLT Cold air intake and Bama Performance custom tuner. It made some impressive results on the dyno with a healthy gain of 60-HP and 49 lb.-ft. of torque. One thing, though; the guys at AM were more than a little sad to get rid of the factory side-exhaust for these upgrades.
They decided that they needed to do something to bring back the side-exhaust without losing any of the upgrades they just installed. Their friends over at Kooks Custom Headers stepped in and brought over an off-road H-pipe that would connect right to the factory side-exit exhaust! Good news for BOSS owners who don’t want to get rid of their factory side exhaust and still want to give it more oomph and rumble.
If you have been following the BOSS build, you know that they have had a few videos of this bad boy against a Camaro on a road course as well as putting up against their heavily modified project 2011 GT in the quarter mile. Now, does this thing sound like a beast or what?! I think a few BOSS owners may be looking to do something similar after hearing the final results.
