One company that always provides an interesting interpretation of American muscle is Geiger Cars, out of Munich, Germany. They have just released a supercharged version of the 2011 Mustang GT, so the autobahn cruisers better keep an eye on their mirrors.

Adapting a twin-screw, 2.3-liter supercharger to the 5.0-liter engine, the company claims an output of 497 hp at 6,400 rpm and 468 ft-lb of torque at 4,200 rpm, based on just over 7 psi of boost. With the electronic speed limiter disabled, the company reports a top speed of 171 mph (274 km/h).

Optional chassis upgrades and OZ Racing’s Ultraleggera light-metal wheel are available in a staggered fitment, with 8.5 x 20-inch rims in front and 10 x 20-inch versions at the rear. Keeping the lateral G’s under control are 245/35R20 high-performance directional tires at the sharp end, with drive axle using 285/30R20 rubber tires to dig furrows in the autobahn.

Pricing for the newest Mustang GT in Europe is 42,900 Euro (US$ 59,800) for the California Special-optioned vehicle. Adding their supercharger will bump your bill by another 12,990 Euro (US$ 18,100), while the OZ Racing wheels and performance tires raise the bar by 5,190 Euro (US$ 7,200). The sport chassis upgrade adds another 1,899 Euro (US$ 2,650).

The Geiger web site is already showing the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang. We can’t wait to find out what they’re going to do with that bahnsturmer.
