2019 Mustang Order Guide Details All The New Options

Since the beginning of the year we have learned quite a bit about the 2019 Mustang and its specialty variants. From new options like Need For Green paint and B&O Play audio to reimagined packages like the Bullitt (500A) and California Special, there are a lot of things to consider when buying a new Mustang. As luck would have it, the dealer order guide for the 2019 recently hit the web to give you a head start on the choices.

While you can’t build and price one just yet, the order guide does show you what is included in all the standard and optional packages. It helps you navigate the possible conflicts that might crop up when you start piling on the options. It also lets you know what paint colors (Lighting Blue, Royal Crimson Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, and Triple Yellow Tri-Coat) are going away to make room for those three new colors (Dark Highland Green, Need for Green, and Velocity Blue). And, it looks like you might have to get over-the-top stripes with Need For Green.

While we are gaining Dark Highland Green (right), Need For Green (left), and Velocity Blue in the 2019 model year, we are losing Lightning Blue, Royal Crimson, and Triple Yellow. Those and other changes are detailed in the 2019 Mustang Order guide that recently hit the web.

A few things stood out to us while skimming through the guide. Unfortunately, you still can’t order the Performance Pack Level 2 (673) option with a 10-speed automatic transmission (44U). For audiophiles, it looks like stepping up to the aforementioned B&O Play audio system is the only way to get a CD player, and you can add it to the Bullitt with the optional Bullitt Electronics Package (67D). Also, it appears that all manual-trans (44X) 2019 Mustangs get Rev Matching. Finally, there is no sign of a Shelby GT500 in this guide, which seems to indicate it would be part of the 2020 model year.

While most of the 2019 Mustang details have already been revealed, the order guide is helpful to review to see what options are available on the model and trim level you desire. It also gives all the details on the changes for the next model year as well as the specialty options like the Bullitt and California Special.

Of course, there are a lot of variables to consider. We have hit some of the highlights here, but you probably have some specific combinations in mind for your next Mustang. For a complete look at the order guide, you can download the full PDF file here. After reviewing it, what looks like the hot setup for your 2019 Mustang?
