Revelare Design’s Rev 1 hood design got its introduction at the SEMA Show almost a year ago, and created quite a buzz for being the only fiberglass cowl hood for 2013-14 Mustangs that retained the factory hood vents. Now, the company’s one-of-a-kind creation is being put into production for the general public. Key features of the hood are its reduction of underhood temperatures and a 2-inch cowl that offers more space in the engine bay. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the hood just looks plain badass.

The Rev 1 Hood debuted in late 2012 at the SEMA Show and has been the buzz at car shows for the last couple months. Revelare Design has announced they are now taking and shipping orders. The Rev 1 Hood is currently the only fiberglass cowl hood on the market for 2013-14 Mustangs that retains the factory hood vents. Designed to help reduce underhood temperatures and enhance the exterior styling of 2013-14 Mustangs, this Revelare Design original toughens up the front end for an aggressive yet refined look. Following the factory lines, the Rev 1 Hood features a 2 inch cowl that allows more room in the engine bay. Two openings at the back of the cowl allow hot air to exit. Both the top and underside of the hood come finished with a smooth gelcoat, making paint prep easy. The hood bolts on using factory hardware and features reinforced attachment and latching points. The best part–it’s made in the USA, just outside of the Motor City.
